Rumor: Microsoft planning to buy Silent Hills?

Written and Edited by Lynn Gerena ( GeekyGothGamerDad )

So there is a major rumor going on about Microsoft acquiring a recently canceled game from Konami. Can this be??

According to an anonymous source it seems as Microsoft is looking to purchase the Silent Hills property from Konami and have it as an Xbox One Exclusive.

The deal is supposedly one of the key reasons as to why the PT Demo was pulled from Konami off the PlayStation Network and PlayStation 4 as a gesture towards Microsoft.

If the deal becomes finalized in time it could mean Silent Hills could be announced at E3 2015.

The game is supposedly 80% done which would put it at a possible March 2016 release window.

The dollar amount for the franchise is set to be in the Billions…that’s right BILLIONS for a franchise that has not been “big numbers” and popular in the recent iterations  although a very fan favorite series.

The rumor is a great one and if it goes to being truth then Microsoft has definitely done good. Amazing snatch and have a series that can still be a strong contender for Survival game franchise. Maybe Microsoft owning it will bring it back to it’s glory days.

What do you guys think of the rumor? Would you be on board for an Xbox One Silent Hills exclusive?
