The launch of Evolve by Take-Two has been pushed back to first quarter of 2015.
The game will now see a February 10, 2015 release date. Evolve was initially set to release in October of this year. The reasons behind the delay are “primarily decided the title needed more time to be polished so it can reach its absolute optimal state before we release it, and historically we’ve benefitted from giving the creative teams more time to polish titles, we’ve never regretted it.” These were the statements given by Take-Two President Karl Slatoff during the publisher’s financial call.
Slatoff also stated that it isn’t a meaningful amount of time as it is still in the company’s fiscal year. He also went on to acknowledge that the release date is a “pretty terrific window,” and “It’s not at all crowded, and we will benefit from the fact that there are a lot of holiday sales of consoles. The install base will be bigger.”
Evolve comes to you from Turtle Rock Studios. A four versus one monster hunter game that will release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game has three friends take on another player as the monster who evolves.
