What can you expect from the next batch of DLC for Borderlands 2? Well let me tell you.
With the DLC you can expect three “Headhunter” packs with the first being a Halloween-themed TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest in October.
As for the Upgrade Pack Two you will be getting a level cap that will reach as high as level 72 and as well as the Digistruct Peak area and mission. The mission is set up on a mountaintop training area for the Crimson Raiders and will have Patricia Tannis letting you know what you will be doing throughout the mission.
The mission is set to take about an hour to complete with a full team of vault hunters. The premise reminds me of horde mode from Gears 2 where you run around a battleground running into every member of the Borderland’s 2 baddies. You start off with number of enemies and their locations being static but as your Overpowers kick in and get higher the randomness of enemies increases.
You’ll have to max out at the new cap first and get yourself to the earlier level cap bump’s third play through in order to enjoy the over-leveling in Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2. So if you are at level 50 don’t expect to do this for quite some time.
Shortly after the release of the Upgrade pack you can expect TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest in October. This will be the first of three “headhunter” packs that are set to release by the end of 2013.
The basic idea with these content packs is simple: defeat a boss, get that boss’s head added to your collection of wearable heads. These are smaller content offerings than the four previous story DLC packs that Gearbox released. Bloody Harvest amounts to a single, medium-sized environment that’s been built around a fetch mission and the aforementioned boss fight, in this case with the Pumpkin Kingpin. It’s been confirmed that the headhunter packs will cost less than previous story add-ons.
The fetch quest, which involves fighting your way through a graveyard and haunted town as you assemble the pieces of a key to the Pumpkin Kingpin’s pumpkin patch. The heart of the original Halloween-themed idea is still the focus: the boss fight arena, a zombified TK Baha as the mission-giver, and ability-enhancing collectible candy.
This concept was originally planned for a Halloween 2012 release but they could not complete in time and just shelved it and planned to release it this Halloween.
Time for us all to head back to Pandora's treacherous plains once again for some loot and loads of fun.
Hope to see you all on the wastelands. Also if you will be at PAX Prime stop by the 2K booth to try out the DLC.
