New third-party deal primed for announcement at Gamescom.
According to an article on CVG it seems as if Microsoft has signed a major deal to bundle a “major third-party title” free with every Xbox One launch system across Europe and possibly the US.
Each new Xbox One sold will come with the title that will retail for $60 which would definitely help Microsoft with the 500 dollar price tag.
According to an anonymous source the developments were part of Microsoft’s goal to add value to their system without reducing the initial price of the Xbox One.
CVG states that with Microsoft making this deal to bring the game bundled with their console would have cost millions from their budget as it preps to launch later this year.
The major game is said to be the “unique Xbox One exclusive” that Microsoft executive Phil Spencer was saving for the Gamescom announcement.
So what could be this major game? Also will it be a worldwide release with the console? One has to wonder and hopefully look to see if Microsoft is pulling off something that could be a major game changer for them this fall.
Of course there has been no comment on the subject so we will have to wait and see what they have during their announcement.
