Bioware has just confirmed that the decisions you made in both Dragon Age 1 and Dragon Age 2 will carry over to Dragon Age: Inquisition on next gen consoles.
According to statements made by Bioware producer Cameron Lee during a panel at PAX Australia “We know what we want to do, it will absolutely come across- your decisions carry and will matter.” Though Lee couldn’t give more detailed specifics writer Patrick Weekes added this “ The goal is that you can have an equally rich experience no matter which platform you’re playing on.” So does this mean something new for gamers who will have their first play with the game such as a interactive prologue?
You should expect ties to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II in Inquisition. community manager Chris Priestly mentions "There will absolutely be some ties to some of the previous games," he said. "Maybe some of the books or that sort of thing that you'll recognize if you've played the previous games, but they're not going to be reliant on the previous games." So look for Dragon Age: Inquisition to make the first two games as touchstones to the world.
Bioware is also planning on bringing back more of the tactical decisions from Origins and do away with the recycled assets of Dragon Age II, while giving a major overhaul to the dialogue and the way conversations are delivered.
Expect Dragon Age: Inquisition to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC in Fall of 2014.
