PS4 Used Game Restrictions 'Up to Publishers'

Written and Edited by Lynn Gerena ( Ashe Darkthorne )

Seems like there is more to what Sony let’s on about Used Game restrictions.

Sony has confirmed that the digital rights management of software will be up to third party publishers. So let’s see though Microsoft has stated there is DRM software and is also up to the developers to use here is Sony stating the same thing. Why do I call shenanigans?

Microsoft came out of the box and admitted that their DRM will be up to the publisher. Everyone decided to crucify Microsoft for it so now the truth is Sony’s PlayStation 4 does have DRM for it but “it’s up to the publisher”.

They are basically saying the same thing that Microsoft said just worded in a “friendlier” way. Remember all Jack Tretton stated was that the PlayStation 4 "won't pose any new restrictions on the use of PS4 gamers."

This to me is the pot calling the kettle black.

  1. lol...Someone's a little butt hurt that Sony kinda sounded a little better. (I'm playing with you, BTW)

It's OK to admit that one thing might be better than another. It's all a matter of opinion anyway. I'm still not getting an Xbox One due to the other things that I don't like about it. Always on Kinect. Mandatory Internet connection every 24 hours to help the 'publisher decided DRM'. Kinect (a device I don't really use or want) mandatory on the system. $100 more than their competitor.

    But that's just me.

  2. dude i would have to agree with your friend, mandatory unintenet connection, Forceing the kinect on to people. plus the Xbox one is not a gaming console the system is nothing more then a universal cable box that play games. plus its cheaper your know me anything to save a doller
