Bye Bye Online Passes at least from EA’s perspective.

Written and Edited by Lynn Gerena ( Ashe Darkthorne )

Well look who is taking a stand against Online Passes.

Everyone hates Online Passes. It’s across the board. You have to enter this ludicrous code just to get into the multiplayer aspect of a game and if you bought the game second hand well you have to cough up the money for the pass. Seems with EA who interesting enough was behind online passes is the first to say they are discontinuing the Online Pass.

According to EA senior director of corporate communications John Reseburg the decision came on consumer feedback. “Initially launched as an effort to package a full menu of online content and services, many players didn’t respond to the format. We’ve listened to the feedback and decided to do away with it moving forward.”

This is a big deal and with EA doing it how many other publishers will be next to follow suit? This is an interesting development and it is a positive one to see that it was because of the consumer feedback. See we can make a difference when our voices are united.
