Second Round of THQ auctions have been announced.

 

Just when you think it was all said and done. Here comes Round Two for THQ.

 

 

THQ has announced that it will be auctioning off the intellectual property rights for a large portion of its back catalogue, including Darksiders, Red Faction and Homeworld. The full list of properties will included Destroy All Humans! and many other licensed franchises.

Initial bids will need to be submitted by April 1, 2013 and final bids will be due on April 15th. The interested bidders will have gone through proper channels before hand and THQ will talk with various companies that they owe money to and will designate a primary and back-up bid for each lot. Once all that has been completed, the sales will be presented to the court for final approval, expected to take place in May. All this will take place after all bids have been submitted.

So besides Lots 1 and 4 what other lots do you see that need to be “saved”. I do hope that someone picks up the Full Spectrum Warrior and Summoner franchises as well as Frontline: Fuels of War. All great and interesting games. Let me know what you think should companies grab.
