Activision has announced the official release date of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct–a first-person shooter that follows the story of Daryl and Merle Dixon.
Earlier today Activision announced that The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will release on March 29th in Europe which means we should be getting it three days earlier on the 26th of March. The game is set to release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and the Wii U.
According to producer Glenn Gamble “We were over halfway through the project when the Wii U thing started coming about,” telling Digital Spy. “We didn’t want to change the game, because the game had already been established, so we tried to say, ‘What can we augment with the Wii U version?’
He brought up the fact that making a more elegant inventory management system for the WiiU version.
“With the Wii U you have access to your backpack at all times, so you can tap what weapons you want, you can drop stuff. It’s a lot more streamlined.”
So what do you think? Is this a good thing? Will the WiiU capitalize on this “inventory system” or is it just a “flash in the pan?” I am curious to see why there was no mention on more of the gameplay aspect. That is what I would like to see don’t you guys agree?
