Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's next downloadable content pack could take players to a new province of Tamriel. A trademark filing by Bethesda suggests that the new DLC will be called Redguard.
The latest Skyrim DLC-related rumors to surface are in regards to the Redguard. Fans of the series will recognize the Redguard as one of the many races in Tamriel. These dark-skinned warriors hail from the desert lands of Hammerfell due southwest of Skyrim, bordering the city of Falkreath.
The trademark for Redguard was first filed back in March 2011, according to Digital Spy, and since then, Bethesda has renewed the trademark multiple times, proving that a new game with the Redguard name is in the works. Now whether it is a new game for a Next-Gen System or a downloadable content for Skyrim.
Not the first time “rumors” have been called “leaks” which led to Bethesda releasing the information. It has happened for Hearthfire and the latest DragonBorn.
Bethesda is not ready to confirm anything according to a tweet on Twitter. "Sorry, I don't comment on every rumor that comes up," Bethesda VP Pete Hines tweeted when a fan asked about Redguard.
Keep in mind in my personal opinion I do not believe RedGuard to be a new game on one reason, In 1998 Bethesda released The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. The game was of course a third person spin off for Elder Scrolls.
What do you think is it just rumor based on a trademark or is Bethesda continuing it’s DLC track record and getting ready for a major announcement?
