My Absence...

Hey GGGD followers...
So I've been absent for a while and not posting. It's been a bit busy in my life and I haven't found the time to actually post on here until now. I'm sure you're all like "OMG! I'm so glad Magma's back!" but I know better.

Anyways...I've got a new job so I've been dealing with transitioning and whatever. I am now a mainframe storage administrator and I've been learning quite a bit. I'm sure you don't want to hear about that and just want to hear about the games. So without further due...

This week I picked up Deus Ex: Human Revolution on the cheap from game store. I've wanted to play this, but being a single player game I usually tend to hold off on em until they get cheaper. I don't want to pay $60 for a single player only game. I'm only a little bit into the game, but I really like it. It's a game I can take at my own pace. I like the sci-fi setting, too.

I've also been playing The Walking Dead games and just picked up the 4th episode, "Around Every Corner". The Walking Dead games are horrible! Downright horrible. But they're not bad games. What I mean by horrible is that they are horrible situations, but the game is great. The story is just depressing and just a series of bad events that take place (much like the comic books). I still recommend them, but if you allow yourself to be taken in by the story and'll find yourself almost crying at times.

I know I said that I'd tackle my backlog, but whateves.

Next game I've kinda been play is the Sonic the Hedgehog games. My son has taken a liking to Sonic and is learning how to play games. He's three so he's just understanding the controller. He loves getting the rings. So I've been playing them, too. I've always loved Sonic and the original games so I've amassed a little digital collection of em. I have a lot of the originals on XBL:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic 4 Episode 1
Sonic 4 Episode 2
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic CD
Sonic Adventure
And....I'll probably get Sonic Adventure 2. I'm a sucker, I know.

I'm looking forward to getting Medal of Honor: Warfighter when it comes out. Was a huge fan of the MoH reboot game for 360. Loved the campaign. The multiplayer was OK, but I thought it was a very good game and one of the few that I have all 1000/1000 Gamerscore for. I've been playing the beta for it on Xbox and have been pleasantly surprised. I'm not a fan of the game mode that they let you play. I didn't like Battlefield 3 because of the huge maps and vehicle warfare (which I've never been good at) and I'm not a big CoD fan because of the flighty mechanics. Warfighter seems to be a decent mix of both of those games. I just hope it's decent in full release and is well received.

Alrighty...well...I've typed enough for one post.
