(RUMOR) Xbox 720 might see delay due to processor problems.

So there seems to be a rumor about the Next Xbox being pushed back for some internal issues.

The rumors show that Microsoft may not be able to release their next generation console in 2013. The news comes during the same time in which multiple other sources stated one of either Sony's or Microsoft's consoles would be pushed to 2014.

According to the latest report comes from Semi Accurate who believe there’s a big problem with the Next Gen’s processor chip. Seems that the chip, nicknamed ‘Oban’, appears to be fine on itself, the problem is for every chip sheet they make it seems only a small percentage are actually useable. That would be a big problem on a piece of computer hardware that takes a lot of money to put together.

The sources state that Microsoft has been spreading the development of the chip to other facilities to see if a factory can come up with a solution. It was also mentioned that the system could sustain a 6 to 8 week delay, and still ship in 2013.

Though they would need to find a way to get more processor chips made for that to happen and if not then it might not be a 2013 release for the system.

  1. 6-8 week delay...Whatever. That's not really that big of a deal. Well, for me it isn't since I'm the one buying it anyways.
