So Yesterday and Tuesday my Windows Live Writer was left alone. Weds. I had an article I wanted to put up but never got a chance to sit and write, and with yesterday being my birthday everyone basically kept me busy. Let’s see if I can make it up with this blog post.
My Birthday Came with a Slew of Games and a Homemade Cake
If everyday were like yesterday I would literally be “King of the World”. I awoke to little hands jumping on me early in the morning and kissing me saying Happy Birthday. I love my munchkins they show me without a doubt that I am loved.
My wife made me a great breakfast while putting the kids and her’s birthday gift to me next to it, She thought I was ignoring the gift but I was just savoring the moment with breakfast. After I ate and read my paper I finally opened the gift only to see Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. I had originally pre-ordered this but was told I could not pick it up. Which never bothers me because one way we usually get the game sooner or later.
Velody had picked up my pre-order which is great because then I get all the goodies along with it. A short time later my In-Laws came over and wished me their good tidings with a little gift of their own. A Gift Card to a certain gaming store. Now my mother-in-law is not one to step foot in said store but with her job she is able to get the gift cards at the local Supermarket.
After the kids went down for their nap my wife started working on some bread and my cake for that night. I got to go use my gift card. I picked up a total of 6 games.
The 5 of the six games were for me and the last was another copy of Fable 3 so Vel and I can play it together. We have a tendency with Skyrim to be on our headsets just talking about our quests and with Fable we can actually do things together.
The kids and her gave me a Philly Cheesesteak Dinner and then the cake. Lil R even helped mommy in the kitchen get things together. I was almost euphoric seeing my 2 and 4 yr. olds singing (well trying) Happy Birthday.
Grand Theft Auto V Releases some Screen Shots of Vehicles
I have to admit Rockstar Games are definitely a smart developer. This week has been nothing short of vehicles and other things that we will be able to either drive or do in game. How do you keep interest in a game that has not shown up at any recent event?? Well you let people see what is in game in still shots and let their imaginations go nuts.
Fable: The Journey demo dated
Lionhead Studios told CVG “If you own a Kinect and you are a serious gamer who doesn’t want to jump around their living room, then this is the game to look out for.”
I think it is pretty funny that they are catering to the “sit down” gamer. Sorry but I don’t see why I need to sit down with my Kinect…lol
