What should have been Friday's Post

Sorry about no post yesterday things around the household was a little hectic and then I just got lost in those things.  So Here goes. More Halo MP news as well as a New Rambo game and Walking Dead game are both on there way to consoles.

Halo changes team slayer multi-player to Infinity Slayer.

One of the changes in the Halo 4 is a big change to Team Slayer, the most popular mp in the Halo iterations. Seems like the change is a major one and not a bad one. Here is what 343 posted on Halo Waypoint.

Infinity Slayer is Halo 4’s all-new Team Slayer experience. It is an additional-but-vital mode, with new weapons, vehicles, loadouts and Armor Abilities. The UNSC Infinity takes a large role in this mode, providing players in the game with weapons and ordnance.

For the first time in Halo, you earn points not only for your team, but also for yourself. It still takes a certain amount of kills to win the game (currently one kill equals ten points, and 60 kills wins the game), but now you have your own personal progression loop on top of that.

Halo 4 also brings new medals and rewards to the experience, rewarding players not only for kills, but also style, assists, team support, and objective gameplay. Some of the things that count as “style” are killing an opponent attempting to hijack or skyjack a vehicle, ending an opponent’s killing spree, and killing an opponent that stole your ordnance.
Halo 4 features the new scoring system in all modes, but it makes its biggest impact in Infinity Slayer as players earn ordnance rewards from the UNSC Infinity.

Infinity Ordnance - During each Infinity Slayer experience, the UNSC Infinity drops ordnance at the start of the match. So, what used to be a shotgun leaning against the wall in previous Halos is now dropped from Infinity. At carefully-tuned intervals, Infinity resupplies the map with power weapons. You will be able to customize Infinity ordnance in Forge.

That is the gist of the new changes coming to slayer. I believe this will be fresh as they mentioned it will be comfortable and a new experience. Which means it could grab some more people to jump into the Halo Universe which is always a good thing.

Activision announces Walking Dead First Person Shooter.

Activision announced that a new The Walking Dead game was in the works and it is being done by Terminal Reality. The Walking Dead will revolve around Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle on a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.” Players will control Daryl as they attempt to avoid detection from zombies that hunt using sight, sound and smell and will choose between fighting them or using stealth to avoid detection.
According to Activision, “No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new,post-apocalyptic world.”
The Walking Dead will hit stores in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Few other details are available, but check out the game’s web site for more info. I can only hope this has the emotional pull that the TellTale Games have. Telltale games have crafted a hell of a game that compliments both show and comics. Especially if Daryl has to fend for himself as he does in the tv series I think this will be a major game to get. If it becomes just a regular FPS then that could be a major downfall to it. I hope the best for Terminal Reality to pull it off.

Rambo set to be revealed at Gamescom.

Reef Entertainment has announced that Rambo: The Video Game will be debuting at Gamescom next month in Cologne, Germany. The game was originally announced last August when the company gained the rights for the game, but since then things had been quiet. here is what their marketing boss Craig Lewis had to say.
“We have been quiet since we acquired the Rambo license last August. During this time we have been dedicated to creating a video game for consoles and PC that will allow Rambo fans and gamers across the globe to really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon-set in battle.” Ok here is my take on this. I loved Rambo: First Blood part 2 but when I played the Nintendo version and whatever version was out for said systems. Boy was I disappointed. None the less Rambo was relevant and people knew the name. Hell there was even a weekday afternoon cartoon back in the day. I think this is just a little late to the party. I hope they pull this off because Rambo could be a bad ass game.

Minecraft to get some very familiar faces as skins in next update release.

With the update will be the Minecraft Skin Pack 1 which will have characters such as Ms. Explosion man and Master Chief and many others. The skin pack will cost 160 MSP . Well that is all for today. I hope you guys have a great rest of the weekend. I will be lost on The Walking Dead Marathon and will be playing Skyrim when the kids are asleep.
