Two Days of News stuffed for your flavor.

Seems like anytime I wish to start a blog we are getting bad storms here. The thing is I start writing these about nap time for the kids which is about 1, and it gives me a few hours of quiet time to get the post done. Unfortunately summer months mean daily thunderstorms. Here that can mean light 1 hour storms or bad enough to knock off power. Yesterday was one of those days where i had my pc off for most of the afternoon. Anyway let us get down to it.

Microsoft interested in buying Activision/Blizzard.

That's right Vivendi studios is looking for potential buyers and looking to unload Activision/Blizzard. According to an article on Reuters the company asked it's banker to search out potential buyers for the Game publisher. Vivendi owns 60% of the company as of right now and can make an estimated $10 Million Dollars from the sale. Some of the other potential Suitors include Time Warner, KKR, Providence and Blackstone, and Tencent.  Vivendi has recently reported stock sales have dropped a bit and are in financial debt due to some bad acquisitions. So this leaves the door wide open for them to sell off some of their investments which could make them some heavy profits.  So who knows maybe World of Warcraft and Call of Duty could become Microsoft exclusives for their pc's and consoles. Does not seem like a bad situation for Microsoft.

Expendables Video Game announced for XBLA and PSN.

Ubisoft has released the trailer for the Expendables Video game that is due for the XBLA, PC and PSN respectively. The game looks like some contra blow everything up shooters. Which to me are still some of the best games ever. The game is set to release first on PSN on July 31st and then on XBLA and PC on August 14th. The Expendables promises to put you in charge of all the films hard hitters in an explosive four-player co-op action shooter. The trailer is very "in your face".

Now is that anymore in your face or what??!! I think this game is going to be alot of fun. Who knows maybe Ubisoft can bring back what I miss from Contra until a great Contra reboot happens. plus 4-player co-op HELL YES!! Sign me up!.

Mass Effect 3 gets more free DLC Next Week and also Leviathan info leaked.

So Bioware has been pumping out some pretty decent content for Mass Effect 3 since the game released and it seems as the DLC train has no plans on stopping anytime soon. What is also good is that except for the one paid content everything has been free. You cannot beat that. So with that they are releasing the next Multi-player DLC titled 'Earth' on July 17th for Xbox 360.  No saying as to when this will hit PSN or PC.
Developer BioWare is yet to officially announce the DLC, but is expected to do so at Comic-Con this weekend.
A product listing for the DLC appeared last month, promising three new maps and six classes.

“Mass Effect 3: Earth: The fighting is fiercest when it’s your home at stake!
Mass Effect 3: Earth adds mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London.
It features three new weapons: Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol
and Typhoon light machine gun. Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin,
Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow and Fury!”

I do not see how anyone can hate on a company that goes out of their way to give you as much content without charging. I do hope that now with the people complaining about endings have had their "say" that everyone can enjoy this game for what it is. Now as for the "Leviathan" DLC that was ousted by some pc guys who found the source code in the Extended Cut DLC. Well here is what was revealed. EuroGamer has released an interview with voice actor Anthony Skordi,
Eurogamer has learned that the UK talent will be voicing the titular synthetic goliath, which can actually join Shepard’s forces in the war.  Now there are spoilers for the DLC but I am not one to post them but it seems like this DLC will be a good one. I am sure this one will also be the first one since their first to have a price point.

343 states they are not working on Halo 2 Anniversary Edition

Last week the rumor of 343 studios doing an updated remaster of Halo 2 became fever pitched but with a recent Q&A on Microsoft's Expertzone reveals that Halo 2 A.E is not in production. Though most of the the question and answer segment focused primarily on Halo 4, someone did manage to ask 343 if there was any chance of a Halo 2 Anniversary HD remake. Sadly, 343 responded, "We are not working on that at this time. We are kind of busy." Which of course makes sense considering they are working on the buildup for Halo 4's release and finishing all they need to make sure the game is golden upon said release. I still hope that there will be a chance to get a Halo 2 Anniversary Edition done. Such a great game and the pivotal Multi-player juggernaut of any console gen.

Gun Bros. Free for Windows 7 Phone.

Ok remember how I said I loved the craziness of Contra games? Well on the marketplace as of right now you can get a crazy shooter called Gun Bros. I have had this on my HP Tablet for quite some time and it is hysterically fun. It is just so over the top action and would remind people of Ikari Warriors from the perspective. but trust me it is a great and fun romp. If you guys have a Windows phone pick it up. Hell it is free and you can get achievements. Also Plants vs. Zombies is $2.99 if you did not grab it yet.

Sorry for no post yesterday and all but hope this makes it up. I will be posting but for now time to get the kids ready for dinner.
