Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, step-dads, and loving father figures.

Since I'm going to start being a regular contributor on this site I thought I would take the time and give all three of you that read this thing a background on who I am and so on and so forth.

I'm the guy on the right...Herp a Derp! (2007)
I'm Dan. I've been married for 11 years and have two kids. Both of them are little...still in diapers, mostly (3 and 1). Oh, and there's a dog, too. Can't forget him. Even if you do his bodily functions will remind you of his presence. Anyway,  I work for a large insurance company as a mainframe system programmer (I know..wut? Mainframes). Yes, they're still around and I could go into a whole spiel why they're not going away and will continue to run better than anything you got for a long time to come, but you wouldn't be interested in any of that.

On to the stuff that makes me part of this little soap box. I've been gaming ever since I can remember. It started when my dad thought it would be a cool thing to bring home an Atari 2600 system with a couple of games. Several thousand games of Pac-Man (the lame one) and Combat and there was no going back for me. I've had a bunch of different systems in my time gaming. The Commodore 64, TurboGrafx 16, and the Super Nintendo were just a few of my favorites growing up. I'll play just about anything, but nowadays I'm going to have to be a budget gamer. Gonna have to check the bargain bins of the games stores and the clearance sites on Amazon to get my gaming fix. You can find me on Xbox Live most of the time by the GamerTag MagmaFlow.
Yup...That's me. The Clutch roadie.

I'm a struggling artist. By that I mean that I'm in a band, but we don't have a large following. I play bass and do backing vocals. Our band is called The Desert Red, you should check us out! I think we're pretty damn good, but I'm kinda bias. I'm also an assistant site admin at Dad's Hideout. If you're a dad and want to talk to other dads about whatever...check out the site and have some fun!

I'll be posting some reviews of games, general rantings (as you've seen before), thoughts on some games, music, life, and the occasional band pimping. Hope you have a fun time reading the stuff that we all put up here. I will mention...that you should take a lot of my posts with a not-so-serious tone. I'm usually always joking and the 'rage out' moments are really just for comedic effect.

Well...Now you know. And knowing is half the battle! G I JOOOOOOOE!!!!!!
