Far Cry 3 Insane Edition and Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set Announced

Two new Collector's Editions were made available in the last 24 hours. One is region specific but the commercial for it kicks ass. The other is a fighter's dream come true.

Of course I am talking about FarCry 3 and Street Fighter. Both games are releases collector's editions that seem to be unique. Now I will explain why for each one after I tell you a little about them.

Xbox 360 Version
First is the FarCry 3: Insane Edition. The release video for this was very well done. The premise was to make you feel you were in game with the main antagonist Vaas talking about a bobble head and how beautiful she is but if you listen carefully he mentions the items you received with this Europe-only Edition. Yup that is right the FarCry 3: Insane Edition is for European release. I am sure we will get something close to this version with either an addition or something else. None the less here is what it entails.

Playstation 3 version
FarCry 3 : Insane Edition

A cross-dressing bobble head of Vaas Wahine.
The game comes packaged in a "Survival Kit" box and includes a physical copy of "Insanity Guide" book.
 In-Game Content

Monkey Business: A new quest giver, Hurk , with 4 more missions that equal to about an hour of gameplay.
The Lost Expeditions: Two missions with a Japanese Gun weapon.
The Warrior Pack: A handcrafted dagger with two Tribal Tattoos.
The Hunter Pack: A M700 Rifle with 3 different skins.

The Predator Pack: Four rare predators and a bow for Multiplayer.

I am sure there will be some way all this will make it to the states just a matter of time to when they release that info perhaps E3? But in the mean time here is the video showing the bobble head and enjoy the insanity.

So was that insane or what??!! I think that is one of the best game ads I have seen in quite some time.

The second Collector's Edition is one that is not celebrating a new release but it is one of the "Anniversary" sets. I still can't believe I was 14 when Street Fighter first came on the scene. Yes I dated myself there. I have to tell you I love Street Fighter. Though it is not my top tier fighter of all time that award goes to Rare's Killer Instinct but not by a large margin. These were the two game franchises that I spent many of hours either at home on the consoles or in the arcades dropping quarters. Capcom to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise with a collector's set.
The Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's set will be released for both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 on September 18th. I am sure many will be going after this one. I wish I could but with both Halo 4 and Borderlands unless I hit some big money I will be missing out on this one.
The price of the Collector's set is $149.99 I am going to let you guys know what all the goodies are for this one.

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition:

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix
Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition.
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition (with all costume DLC)
Street Fighter X Tekken (Includes all character and swap  costume DLC)

A Two-Disc Blu-Ray Video  set which includes a documentary on the history of the series,
the Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4 anime films,
episodes of the Street Fighter animated series,
and the Street Fighter 2:Animated Movie.

An 8" light up Ryu statue.

11 discs soundtrack music.
64 page Hardcover Art Book
A replica of Ryu's Belt
and last but not least a Certificate of Authenticity.

Yes that is a lot of stuff for a Collector's Edition but what disappoints me that with all this they do not include any of the Street Fighter Alpha's nor the original game "Fighting Street". Now that would have this set an even sweeter thing to get. Who knows maybe for the 30th anniversary. I still think this a beautiful Collector's Edition and well worth it for the Die-hard Fan of the series. Just wish it had a couple more old school goodies.

I must say these are two sets to look out for if you guys are into getting the end all be all of collector's editions. They are in no means slowing down when making these but at least they put alot of hard work and effort into making them original pieces.
